DOC HOLIDAY TAKES THE SHOTGUN
Paying homage to misadventure with their unique blend of surf-rock and swamp-swagger, Sydney band Doc Holliday Takes The Shotgun brandish a fresh sound and live show that’s a party from the get-go.
The five-piece home-brew their own brand of hard-liquor music, that gets audiences stomping toes and rolling ankles on the dance floor. Unapologetic in their expression, and unforgiving in their execution Doc Holliday Takes The Shotgun is a band that refuses to be ignored.
Doc Holliday Takes The Shotgun have played every setting, whether it be bars, boat sheds, apartments, warehouses or Sydney’s finest venues (The Standard, The Beresford, The World Bar, The Basement, to name a few) and have a built a reputation for fun and wild performances. The band has been successful in the local touring circuit being billed along side acts such as Gary Clarke Jnr (USA), The Death Set, DZ Deathrays, Bleeding Knees Club, Hunting Grounds, Dune Rats, Kill City Creeps and more. They’ve also played for the Sydney Fringe Festival closing party.

VAN HOORN
Its exciting that a trio of young aussies rocking out of a barnyard in Sydney could provide so much attitude and rawness. Van Hoorn pinpoint the rusty-rock blues in their own way from down under. Heavily influenced blues fans that dont do things the traditional way, Van Hoorn go for organic compositions rather than constructed productions. Recording Mullanes exploding riffs compliment Tozzis raw chilling vocals, the funky free drumming from Theodosis to tie it all together. Van Hoorn put their own gutsy brand on the blues whilst separating themselves from the rest of the world.
